Connect your accounts
This is the only screen in the web app that is not for you. It is a tokenised page you send to one of your customers, so they can authorise their own accounts — a calendar, a CRM — and let your agent act on their behalf.
It exists because of the “Enable for customers” choice in AI Agent Studio → Integrations. Where Connect for the bot uses the business’s own account for everyone, Enable for customers requires each customer to connect their own — and this is how they do it.
What your customer sees
The page is deliberately minimal: no MessageBlue branding to explain, no account to create, no password. It opens straight into Connect your accounts, split into two lists:
What they have already authorised, each marked Connected. Before anything is linked this reads “Nothing connected yet.”
Everything you enabled for customers that they have not linked yet. Once all are done: “You’re all set — nothing left to connect.”
Each entry is badged Connects via OAuth or Connects via API key so the customer knows whether they are about to be sent to a provider’s sign-in page or asked for a key.
Pressing Connect shows a brief “Redirecting you to sign in / authorize” screen and hands off to the provider. When they come back, /c/callback finalises it — “Finalizing your connection…” — and returns them to the list with the service now marked Connected.
Links expire
Tokens are single-purpose and time-limited. An expired one shows:
This link has expired — Ask for a new one to connect your accounts.
There is no self-service renewal; the customer has to ask you for a fresh link. Send these close to when you expect them to be used rather than well in advance.
Anyone holding the link can connect accounts in that customer’s name — the token is the credential. Send it directly to the person it belongs to, and treat a forwarded link as compromised: issue a new one rather than reusing it.
When it fails
If the customer cancels at the provider, or the provider returns an error, the callback shows “Something went wrong — We could not finish connecting your account.” with a Back to your connections link. Nothing is half-connected: they can simply try again.
Checking it worked
Connections your customers make appear back in AI Agent Studio → Integrations under the customer-enabled section, alongside the providers you have offered. That is where you confirm an authorisation landed, and where you can stop offering a provider entirely.
